Online Safety
At St. Bricin’s College, we prioritize the online safety of our students. We utilize a range of resources and programs to ensure a secure digital environment:
- Webwise: As the Irish Internet Safety Awareness Centre, Webwise provides comprehensive information, advice, and resources on online safety and digital citizenship for schools, families, and young people.
- DigiWise Workshops: These workshops offer valuable insights and skills for students to navigate the digital world responsibly. Topics include digital detox, social media sanity, online identity and privacy, and more.
- CyberSafeKids: This organization provides guidance on digital literacy, well-being, and the risks associated with online activities, such as oversharing, cyberbullying, and digital footprints.
- Hotline.ie: A service dedicated to combating the distribution of illegal content online, including child sexual abuse material. They offer a 24-hour support service.
- Childline: A support service for young people up to the age of 18, offering telephone, online, and mobile phone texting services 24/7.
By leveraging these resources, we aim to create a safe and supportive online environment for all our students. For more information or support, please do not hesitate to contact us.
