Green School
Green-Schools is an international environmental education programme, offering a well-defined, controllable way for schools to take environmental issues from the curriculum and apply them to the day-to-day running of their school. The St. Bricin’s College Green Schools Committee is made up of students who want to make our school a cleaner and greener place. We are passionate about improving the working environment within our school and for the whole community. Our goal is to become as sustainable as possible and push St. Bricin’s College forward as one of the leading green schools in Cavan.
Through our hard-working Green Schools Committee, we have achieved a Green Schools Flag in Litter & Waste. We are currently working towards our second flag under the theme of Water. In addition to this, we continue to work on our previous flags, and we have some exciting events and projects to look forward to in the future. The students involved in this programme make a huge difference to the school community and develop a large range of essential skills with their participation in the programme. We are so proud to work with these environmentally conscientious students and their desire to make the world a better place for all.
